Muddy Motivation

So, I tried really hard to keep exercising while I was pregnant. I kept doing my dance classes. I didn't run, but I walked. It just got really uncomfortable. So I stopped. And here I almost 5 1/2 months after giving birth and I have gone to dance/used the elliptical a handful of times.

I have decided to Dirty Dash. I know it's not the most intense of races, but it'll be fun and give me something to work towards. Here's what the course looks like:

I'll be joining my mom and my Canadian friend and anyone else who joins our team. It'll be messy and hopefully fun. I hear mud baths are really good for you.

5 months

5 months flies by so fast. In the past 5 months, we've been adjusting to being a little family of 3. Lucia has been so much fun! It's amazing how fast babies change and grow. Here's a catch up of her in pictures the last 4 months.

At 5 months old Luci:

• loves taking a bath
• loves listening to music (especially Don't Give up, 7 8 9, and Itsy Bitsy Spider right now)
• loves when Dad plays the guitar
• loves listening to Mom read books
• loves playing peek-a-boo
• loves grabbing her toes
• loves cuddling with her bunny and cow
• loves dancing
• loves eating (she's in the 4th percentile for height and 50% for weight)
• loves being in her little activity center
• plays "Follow the _____ (insert random object)"
• thinks it's funny when Mom or Dad burp
• laughs at weird noises
• likes to play with her cousin Maci
• is spoiled by her grandparents (as well as uncles and aunts)
• can roll from her belly to back
• is working on sitting up and rolling over
• prefers to be cold (she screams when you put a jacket or tights on her)
• is a total Daddy's girl
• and sleeps 11 - 12 hours at night (on occasion, 14)
